The acting leader of the Polasciana Centrists has called for a freeze in the home and added rates of tax. The proposal, which would see revenues for the government fall in 2012, has been criticised by the leader of the Union Party, saying that any loss of revenue for the government ‘would be disastrous’ and would ‘threaten the very recovery we need to see.’ Following the resignation of Prime Minister Koruin Gruaman earlier this month, the Centrists are struggling to find a compromise on tax policy – which they say is ‘key’ to improving the economic outlook and forecasts, which were revised downwards for the fourth time last week.
