The country’s controversial new energy programme, spearheaded by President Artamova, has moved into its next stage of development, with construction beginning for four oil platforms off the coast of Olkshoi. As part of a long-term refocusing on energy independence, the new programme will invest record levels in the oil and gas sectors as well as new grants and incentives for cutting-edge technological development and engineering. The Centrists are supporting the move, with the Government allocating nearly ₭3bn of extra funds for the creation of new engineering and technology academies, designed to train young people for careers in high-powered energy sectors. As part of the programme, signed off in the ‘Energy and Economic Futures Bill’, the platforms are being constructed in partnership with industry-leading experts from Eiffelland, Uttania, Karakhstan and Kryobaijan.
