A potential Polascianan bid to host the 2015 World Games Summer Series has been ruled out after an initial study revealed a lack of support for the project. According to the Polascianan Sporting Committee, nearly 54% of respondents thought it would be ‘inappropriate’ for federal funds to support a bid at a time of ‘financial constraint’. While 87% of the public supported the idea of bidding for a future edition of the games. The Committee released details of initial proposals put forward by the cities of Arvi and Kiasé to host the games, which were rejected in favour of not submitting a formal proposal. Most recently Polasciana was due to host the 2008 Winter Series, but the events were cancelled in the build up to the games following security concerns and budget restraints in participating nations saw many countries drop out. The Committee suggested that it would be supportive of Montelimar’s bid for the games with the city of Valmy.
