Vaccination Program Under Efficiency Fire

The National Health Authority Alliance today gave a sweeping blow to the government, when its latest report suggested the flagship influenza vaccination program had been ‘dogged by government failure’.

The authority, which is responsible for overseeing healthcare provision throughout the country, said the government had failed to make the process ‘efficient’ despite an increased investment since the Centrists came to power in late 2008. But tonight Ida Korneev, the State Minister for Education, Science and Healthcare, hit back at the NHAA saying ‘impressive transformation’ had been undertaken by her party in government. The influenza program, focused on the young and elderly, costs the government nearly three hundred million Kryak a year to administer. Ms Korneev however conceded that the government would launch a full review in the autumn.
