Opposition Propose Rail Regulator To Mitigate Against Crash Fallout

The Union Party spokesperson for Transport has suggested that the government should seek to set up a new regulator of rail travel in a pledge to restore credibility to Polascianan infrastructure.

The clear-up from the Dubrovka crash still continues in the forest surrounding the outskirts of the city, and Dmitri Kreshnenvo said the crash had a ‘prominence within the consciousness of the nation’. He said the Union Party would fight the presidential election on a basis that Polascianan citizens needed to feel ‘safe and secure’ about the infrastructure the government was putting in place and that ‘no corners would be cut’ when it came to the safety of travel.

He went on to criticise the Prime Minister’s decision to replace the Transport Minister at a ‘difficult time’ for the government. He said he hoped Pavlo Moreno, who takes over the department from departing Kristina Rudakov, would continue the government’s promise of a ‘full-review’ of government supported building projects.
